Unlike regular plastic, Simply Clean cutlery can be consumed by micro-organisms that live in our soils. Because of this, our cutlery can be readily composted along with food waste in municipal composting facilities within 180 days. Our cutlery meets the ASTM D6400 standard specification for the labeling of plastics designed to be aerobically composted in municipal or industrial facilities.
